MacGyver was one of the most successful TV series since the mid-1980s until its end in the 1992. Now a remake in this series starring “inventor” of the same name is in development, and joins the wave of series that for some reason or another are reviving from the dead.

And when I say “inventor” (in quotation marks) is because its protagonist, Angus MacGyver, had the talent to solve any problems using anything that came to hand. Thanks to his intelligence and his knowledge of science, chemistry, engineering, and practically anything, the guy out of any trouble and always saved the day. Was so great that it was impossible not to marvel us at the time.
The new series will be developed by the American television network CBS and director James Wan will be involved in it. Wan originally wanted to do a movie and not a series, but their plans changed.
MacGyver , according to the official synopsis tells the story of a man of little more than 20 years is recruited into an underground organization to use their “problem solving skills” and prevent disasters. For now it is unknown whether Richard Dean Anderson, star of the original series, will be involved in some way in the project.
So MacGyver is the new series to revive from the dead, with Alma Mortal (or Lethal Weapon , in Spain) also have their own TV series. [Via Entertainment Weekly]
