“With this agreement, coupled with the transition to digital terrestrial television made previously, would lead to 92 percent of the population receiving television broadcast signal. However, the full Institute will continue it in session, in order to advance the transition, according to notifications received from the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation, “he said.
Moreover, with the cessation of analog broadcasts in XHEBC-TV station in Ensenada, Baja California, it contributes to the release of the 700 MHz band.
The Institute and Licensees and the dealers should inform the public about the specific date and time for terminating analog broadcasts of those stations, as provided in Articles 15 and 16 of DTT policy.

The agency said that the transition to Digital Terrestrial Television generates free benefits to the audience as well as a wider choice of channels (some in HD) and a better quality of audio and image, among others.
It is important to note that in case of not having any of the following options open television audiences can not receive television signals (the analog switch does not include pay TV users) .
In order to receive DTT signals is needed: a digital television or a decoder to connect it to your analog TV. In both cases a suitable antenna is required to receive signals in the VHF / UHF bands and need to retune the digital TV or cable box to view digital channels available in the area.
To address the concerns of the population, it has the www.tdt.mx Ifetel portal and call center with the number 01-800 880 24 24. Both are available how to guide an indoor or outdoor antenna or connect the decoder -if they still count AnalogÂ’s TVs, plus frequently asked questions about the analog switch.
