American General Secretariat today released December 12, 2015 in the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias ‘ Sign unites us ‘, the first satellite channel to distribute television Iberoamerican region mainly educational content and cultural.
“The satellite channel is a bet on the visibility and the construction of the Latin American identity of everything that occurs in this area,” he said during a talk with reporters Iberoamerican Secretary General, Rebeca Grynspan , who previously said the project already has 20 partners in the region.
“They will spend Ibero content, also co-productions a number of public television channels in the region, also with university channels where content will be broadcast educational and cultural issues, “he said.
Grynspan said that although there were already with the Association of Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Television (ATEI), “until now we did was produce content for other public television channels passing that content”.
“The new channel will be crucial in Latin American identity building because it will be the Ibero-American story we need in the audiovisual area, “he told Efe the secretary general of Educational and Cultural Television Iberoamericana, Alberto García Ferrer.
The presentation was made in a talk between the director of the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for New Latin American Journalism (FNPI), Jaime Abello; Telecaribe manager, Juan Manuel Buelvas and tele manager, the Ministry of Education of Ecuador, Monica Maruri.
Also participating and Ferrer Garcia Grynspan.
The launch of the channel, which is already available on the site “www.ibe.tv” was done in the Training Centre of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID).
