MEXICO CITY (CNNExpansión) – The Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) approved amendments to the Annual Program use and exploitation of Frequency Bands 2016, so most radio stations and digital channels to reverse the high concentration of trade concessions in the country are included.
With the changes approved 2016 Program will be possible concessioning of 148 frequencies of digital terrestrial television (DTT) for commercial use, and allocation of 40 channels for public and 6 use of social use, for a total 194 channels, the statement said.
It also has to include, for public use of the 410-430 MHz band for systems operating fleet specialized radio, the IFT said Thursday in a statement.
Includes various portions of spectrum for social use are available in the band 824-849 MHz / 869-894 MHz; . and for public use of the 806-814 / 851-859 MHz band

According with IFT changes seek to “expand coverage and improve the quality of public services for telecommunications and broadcasting at the lowest possible cost.”
