Los Angeles .- The show’s last Miss Universe, Steve Harvey, and the Colombian representative in that contest, Ariadna Gutiérrez, will meet for the first time in a television studio after the controversial issue of global beauty contest in which Harvey was wrong to announce the winner
Under the title “Miss Universe: The Truth”., will be a special edition of the television show featuring Harvey, who 18 and 19 January will guest Gutierrez and the Philippine Pia Wurtzbach, the candidate who finally took the crown of Miss Universe, Efe reported.
The last Miss Universe gala held last December 20 in Las Vegas (USA), ended with controversy when Harvey mistakenly announced that the winner was Gutierrez and, within minutes, had to return to the stage to announce that he had misread the card and the winner It was actually Wurtzbach.
“It has taken me sleep many nights,” he said in a statement Steve Harvey.
“I gave no interview until he could talk to two people
that were most affected, Pia and Ariadne. No matter what has been for me, I can not imagine what it meant for these women. This finally gives me the opportunity to have a moment of closure, “he said.
