The Moroccan public broadcaster 2M faces a fine of 140,000 euros (1.5 million dirhams) per excess advertising during the month of Ramadan. Thus, according to the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication in the country (HACA) noted in its report that the channel came to add more than 28 minutes of advertising an hour , far exceeding what the law.
In addition to exceed the maximum duration of each commercial break and the amount of advertising per hour, the television authority found that 2M did not respect the minimum amount of time required between two commercial breaks e introduced no commercial advertising within a commercial sequence .
For all these reasons, the fine, which appears on the website of the High Authority Audiovisual Communication (HACA), considers the most watched station in Morocco broke the law with “significant and recurring excess fees and authorized limits.” To assess this situation the body taken as reference the first week of Ramadan, between June 29 and July 5, a maximum period of television consumption in chains reserved the best of their programming hours for family before and after breaking the fast.
