The number of Hollywood films that make the leap to the small screen continues to grow. If the first thing they did some as Daredevil Hannibal or Fargo , the latest addition to this list would be Shutter Island . According to Deadline HBO and Paramount are in negotiations to convert the film into a television series.
The intention of the production is that the own Martin Scorsese, director of the film, whoever is in front of the pilot of fiction episode and the script run by Dennis Lehane, author of the novel on which it is based, and Laeta Kalogridis , screenwriter of the film version.
The name of Ashecliffe , which will be receiving the fiction, is inspired by the mental hospital where the story unfolds. The plot will focus on events before the film starring Di Caprio so you will know how it was carried out the foundation of the place and how it began to develop unconventional methods of healing that are used there.
