Sometimes I do not understand why if they give a Academy Award for Best Original Music Score, Best score , and best original song for a movie, do not give a similar award for television, and if it exists is not as it delivered the Emmys ceremony. As good serieadicta I am, I spend a huge part of my life watching TV, and I’ve learned to appreciate all kinds of details in the programs I see. Music is an important part of the atmosphere , which gives a special to what we see on screen touch. The right song at the right time can raise the boiling point of the emotions it conveys any scene , is undeniable.
One of my favorite series currently is Suits, and each chapter the music is fabulous, so that inspired me to write this post, and remember some series that have had some best soundtracks that come to mind. Of course, the list is not a huge sample, but only a few of the ones I like, but then we do a sequel.
Suits
I have to put first, this series of lawyers fabulous and fun addition to having one of the best soundtracks of television today. There is a chapter at random which is an exception to the rule and is full of good music, this is a series that chapter after chapter has a wizard behind the final edition choosing a soundtrack first category.
Foster The People, Kaiser Chiefs, The Heavy, The Black Jeys, Vampire Weekend, The XX, LCD Soundsystem, Bajofondo, Daniela Andrade , etc. are just a few examples of material appearing on the show. I found lots of excellent artists just seeing Suits. It is total love.
The OC
A series that has a good time over, I stopped watching after the death of a certain character, but that does not mean that I had one of the best soundtracks of TV both at the time as if you listen at this time.
Spoon, Jet, Doves, The Killers, The Dandy Warhols, Eels, Interpool, Death Cab for Cutie, Beck, Modest Muse, Placebo, Keane, Ok Go, Belle & amp; Sebastian, The Runaways, Journey , and you stop counting. Four discs with the best music of the series were sold, and years later it is still a leader in TV fabulous music.
Girls
Like it or not the HBO series that made ultra famous Lena Dunham, if something has this show has always loved, is a soundtrack fabulous. Maybe for some small some “hipster” or “pop”, but fascinates me, is the most fun there, and the song chosen for the end credits is usually great and can listen complete.
Camera Obscura, MGMT, Feist, Kelly Clarkson, White Sea, Best Coast, Robyn, John Mayer, Fleet Foxes, La Roux, Black Lips, The Vaccines, Demi Lovato, Regina Spektor, Icona Pop, Oasis , etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
Grey’s Anatomy
Once seasons brings this series of medical air, about to make the ER, Grey’s Anatomy has always had an excellent soundtrack, although it was much better in the first 6 or 7, music remains well chosen, and although no longer put as many songs as before, many chapters have been giving you to listen to hours of good music just picking a handful of seasons.
The Postal Service, Brandi Carlile, The Fray, Tegan and Sara, Ingrid Michaelson, KT Tunstall, Peter Bjorn, Inara George, Metric, John Legend, REM, Sheryl Crow, Snow Patrol, The National, Delta Spirit, Feist, Beirut, and Fun are just some of my favorite artists heard in the seire.
Sons of Anarchy
One of the best series that has seen the light, and recently finished leaving a rather sour taste in the mouth. Sons of Anarchy put a special interest in music, and if you saw the show know it was a completely integral part of the story. Many, many times, a chapter began with nothing more than a minute song and not a single line of dialogue because music had half the story. Of course, the soundtrack of the Sons was rock & amp; pure and roll, and on more than one occasion could enjoy some fabulous song performed by Katey Sagal .
The Album Leaf, Dire Straits, The Black Keys , Depeche Mode, Greenleaf, Aerosmith, Eagles, Nine Inch Nails, Black Sabbath, Otis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfiled, The Civil Wars, Pearl Jam, The Who, Alice Cooper, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queen, Soundgarden, The Animals, Al Green, Bob Dylan …
True Blood
The popular vampire series that became something too absurd for my taste after the second season, no matter ceases to see, True Blood has always had great music, starting with the wonderful song of opening that made me put on my map Jace Everett, who became one of my favorite artists or anything, but worth it “Bad Things” is a song to remember.
Other Large featured in the soundtrack in this series are: Blue Oyster Cult, Ryan Adams, Fiona Apple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dixie Chicks, Cat Power, Massive Attack, Billie Holiday, Morcheeba, K’NAAN ., Foreigner, Garbage, The Ting Tings, Tom Waits, Marvin Gaye , and many more
Supernatural
Finally let a series that may have lasted longer than it should, Sam and Dean have returned over death Goku with the Dragonballs but that’s another debate. The truth is that the soundtrack full of seventies and eighties rock Supernatural is one of the best things in the whole world. We have already seen Dean hear only old music in the same cassette tapes for 10 seasons, it’s time to listen to us
The soundtrack of this series includes things like:. Black Sabbath, Rush, Dave Matthews Band, Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Def Leppard, The Rolling Stones, Scorpions, Bostin, Blind Faith, Blue Oyster Cult (not how many times have ‘Do not fear The Reaper’), Ozzy Osbourne, UFO, Journey, Foreigner, The Doors, David Bowie, The Animals, Barry White, AC / DC, Frank Sinatra, Joey Ramone, Alice in Chains, Bon Jovi, The Mamas & amp; The Papas, Santana, Celine Dion and even .
