Five programs that dominated television Cris Morena – El Observador

Behind many of the children and young Argentine TV hits is the hand of Maria Cristina De Giacomi, or as publicly known, Cris Morena.

This actress, songwriter, producer and television director is creator of several hits that marked an era on both sides of the Rio de la Plata, and became one of the best known names in Argentina television. It is also responsible for the start of racing several television from the nearby shore star from Lali Esposito to Celeste Cid.

On the day of his 60th birthday, this is a review of five programs its creation that are among his most famous works.

Jugate me

it issued between 1991 and 1994 by Telefe (the channel broadcast most of their programs), was an entertainment program led by Morena herself, accompanied by some young drivers, in which games of skill and intelligence combined with segments singing and dancing.

Jugate me reached the 700 programs plus leap into the theater, having five music albums and generate the derivative miniseries Quereme . In 1995 it changed its name Jugate yet.



Chiquititas

The first fiction Morena began in 1995 and lasted until 2001 to have a revival in 2006, called Chiquititas endless. Besides being one of the most successful programs in the catalog of Cris Morena, it was the launchpad for Agustina Cherri, Marcela Kloosterboer, Guido Kaczka and Luisana Lopilato.

With logical cast changes over the years as their protagonists grew, and the incorporation from the second season of a cast of men (the first season there were only girls as protagonists) the series generated a television empire, plus expansions to the theater, world record, and a large avalanche of merchandising. Chiquititas managed issued in a range of countries, and generated own versions in countries like Brazil and Mexico.

In 2003, a spin-off called Corner light, the name of the orphanage where she passed was presented the adventures children.

Summer of ’98

the managers of Telefe looking for a program that cover the low summer offer, and Morena approached this project. The result was a successful program, which was spread over three years and featured a cast that included several of the “veterans” Chiquititas, and other common programming Cris Morena, as Florencia Bertotti ( some years later starred Floricienta), accompanied by Nancy Duplaá, Joaquin Furriel and Tomas Fonzi.

the series followed a group of friends at their summer in the fictional hamlet Costa Esperanza adventures, recreated in the Buenos Aires area Tiger.

Rebelde Way

One of the creations of Cris Morena more international projection had was also the first not produced under Telefe, being broadcast on channels 9 and America Argentina television.

Set in the boarding Elite Way School, the series followed four young people hiding from their parents and strict teachers of the academy form a band, which allowed the discus throw, and realization of international tours by the band, Erreway.

Rebelde Way featured remakes in places like India and Portugal, countries where the serial format fictional / real band was also followed suit.

Almost Angels

While aimed at a teenage audience instead of traditional children’s audience Morena, almost Angels retained some hallmarks of his creative products. The main characters are a group of orphans abused by those responsible for the home in which they live. The appearance of two strange characters leads to orphans discover their love for music and will change the lives of young people forever.


this series came the band Teen Angels (between members told Lali Esposito and Eugenia “China” Suarez), who extended his career until 2012, after releasing four studio albums
