TV channel stops broadcasting for people to exercise – Digital Lopez Doriga

One of the main television channels in Britain stopped broadcasting for an hour to encourage people to go out and exercise.

The ITV channel suspended broadcasting on Saturday morning for people can go to sports clubs, which are open free this weekend as part of a campaign to encourage exercise.

Many viewers answered the call and sent messages through social networking sites describing the sports activities they were doing.

Others were watching television and derided the initiative, joking that blank screen was the best I have seen by ITV. A viewer joked that he exercised his thumb with the remote control.

The campaign to encourage physical exercise is done by ITV with the National Lottery.
