The TV presenter Ignacio Salas has died at age 70 in the Spanish town of San Pedro del Pinatar, in the region of Murcia, Spain, according to Europa Press sources of the Academy of Television.
The presenter was one of the most familiar faces on television in the eighties and nineties. He worked as editor, reporter, broadcaster, writer, director, screenwriter, creative and host all kinds of programs.
Salas was a member of the Board constituent of the Academy of Television and in March 2000 was elected president of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Television of Spain, position for which was reelected in June 2004 and he left in September 2006.
