Just weeks expected theatrical release of Batman vs. Superman, and the debut trailer of Suicide Squad causing furor in the network DC Comics hit in full force this year to break the hegemony of Marvel movies. However, this branch of adaptations of superhero comics is already succeeding years with The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and more recently; but the maximum madness seems to have been reserved for Legends of Tomorrow, a spin off of the first two series mentioned that focuses on the great visual displays and interlocking between the “B List Stars” DC stories.
When a powerful villain with the power of immortality known as Vandal Savage gets raze the earth in the distant future, a kind of timekeeper called Rip Hunter takes action on the matter and travels to the present time to recruit an unlikely team: Atom The millionaire hero pretensions and advanced technology; the beautiful White Canary, disciplined and murderous former lover Green Arrow; Chay-Ara and Carter Hall, two hawks evil warriors related Savage, Firestorm, the flaming body product of the pair between scientific Martin Stein and the young inexperienced Jax Jackson; and the unpredictable duo of criminals and enemies of Flash Captain Cold and Heatwave.
The only real introduction of the premiere of Legends of Tomorrow is the team leader Rip Hunter. All other characters are Flash and regular Arrow, but perhaps the viewer would have seen the last mandatory crossover between the two series to have knowledge bases on Vandal Savage and the pair of hawks
The first Legends of Tomorrow impressions were positive, amassing an audience of 3.14 million viewers that put it on par with their older sisters. Reviews describe it as a combination of Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Who, and even this pilot episode has the luxury of having a nod to Star Wars (besides the villain of the episode).
With this presentation, Series marks what will be the trend of the 16 episodes that comprise this saga: spectacular special effects and speed the pace of a roller coaster, it was surprising that as the pilot, leave enough minutes to devote to each character. The alignment of heroes is also unprecedented and without prior adaptation in comics, so the risks of comparisons with the bullets will be minimal.
The Adventures between different time lines, light style of The Flash, unexpected twists, and epic battles are the strengths of Legends of Tomorrow, whose chapters can be seen Thursday night at CW.
