Five housewives TV – The Observer

Today in Uruguay’s National Day Housewife in recognition of women engaged in domestic work. Over the decades, this role has been featured countless times in TV shows and movies, with some characters becoming references fiction when talking to housewives, and others who are not as individuals, but they have made a space

This is a review of five women of fiction that have joined the popular culture play that task.

Marge Simpson

If the Simpson family embodies an exaggerated, satirical and delirious American family type, then Marge in version manual housewife house dedicated to parenting and housework. Gabrielle Solis

One of the four “desperate housewives” of the American series of the same name, Solis (played by Eva Longoria, nominated for a Golden Globe in 2006 for his work), was born in Mexico, had a youth of abuse and violence, escaped to New York to be a model, and married a millionaire businessman.

Throughout the series, Solis is faced with several dilemmas, from having to raise a child alone after her husband is jailed to hide the murder of his stepfather.



Nancy Botwin

the female (and earlier) version of Walter White, the star of Weeds, played by Mary-Louise Parker, begins the series as a widow with two children who do not know how to maintain your lifestyle after the death of her husband from a heart attack.

Botwin starts selling marijuana, generating throughout the series a huge criminal empire, with which he supports his family, maintaining his facade housewife innocent house, and beyond problems . the authorities must face
