They demanded to the media that comply with the Law on Radio and TV, specifically in relation to child protection and family.
More than a thousand people demonstrated Friday in the streets of Lima, capital of Peru to require media compliance schedule protection children and family.
The demonstration called “March Against Trash TV” was convened by social networks and with the participation of different social groups, professional associations and civil groups in Peru.
They asked the media to comply with Article 40 of the Law on Radio and Television, based on the contents related to the values and morals of the family and children.
The tour began at 18H00 local and ended at 21H00 hours after protesters marched from Champ de Mars park located in the capital, through different channels venues.
Vandalism
Local media reported that despite the protest began peacefully, vandalism occurred since supposedly protesters threw stones and affected the facades of some television channels.
In this regard, the National Society of Radio and Television ruled indicating that respect the right to protest, but considered vandalism and attacks of a personal nature unacceptable.
