Former Cuban President Fidel Castro met Evo Morales during a two-day visit of Bolivian president to communist-ruled island, said Saturday on state television
Morales, one of the main allies of the Cuban government in the region, on Friday met with President Raul Castro and attended the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement in health, education, culture and economy.
the Cuban television said Morales and Fidel Castro spoke “about the events taking place in Latin America and the imperialist efforts to reverse the political and social movement in our American region.”
the information did not show videos and photos of the meeting.
the visit of Bolivian President to Cuba occurs when the governments of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay urged this week to a political dialogue to the serious crisis which crosses Venezuela, amid growing tension between President Nicolas Maduro and opposition.
Venezuela is the main trading partner of Cuba, which receives about 90,000 barrels of oil. Havana offers medical services, education and sports coaches the South American country.
