Hispasat provides test channel to drive 4K TV … – Radio Intereconomía

Rio de Janeiro 5 sep.- The Spanish satellite operator Hispasat announced that from October offered a free test channel for producers and distributors in Latin America can be transmitted experimentally in ultra high definition television ( 4K) in the region.

“We want to encourage companies in Latin America to try and invest in this technology, and I’m sure that 4K will have a great welcome in the region,” he told Efe President of Hispasat, Elena Pisonero.

The executive, who participated in Rio de Janeiro Congress of the Latin American Satellite 2014, said the test channel will be available to the entire chain of the television sector region with transmissions from the satellite Amazonas 4A, which covers all of Latin America.

4K technology or ultra high definition (UDHTV) is used for the transmission of digital television signals and to film high quality and containing four times more dots on the screen that conventional HD system.

The TV channel Hispasat 4K makes transmissions in Europe since September 2013, where issues contained in ultra high definition of various producers, and was released last April in the United States, where the signal is sent from the satellite Amazonas 3.
