7 series that were the big surprises of television in 2015 – Gizmodo in Spanish

7 series that were the big surprises of the television & # XF3; n 2015

2015 was a big year for television. We not only get new epic seasons and we were left in suspense (like the end of Game of Thrones or the season finale of Agents of SHIELD and House of Cards , for example), but there were many surprises, new series that caught us immediately.

It is not easy to make a new series, and that this will become a cult hit with millions of viewers each week. Not everyone is lucky to The Walking Dead , whose fans had to endure a second season almost unbearable before they become the masterpiece it is today. Or the fate of Fargo , for they have a repurchase of big stars (between actors, writers and directors) it was almost impossible to do something wrong.

In 2015 came several new series that left us with a smile on his face (or an expression of surprise, at least). We also had our bitter pills, but overall it has been a great year for television series starring as Narcos , Wayward Pines , Mr. Robot and Better Call Saul , or those great series that surprised us and left wanting more:

Jessica Jones (and Daredevil )

Many would say that the product “Marvel + Superheroes” is being exploited to greatly exaggerated levels in the movies, and they may be right (even partially, and so we enjoy those movies), but the reality is this has nothing to do with the series and Marvel have released Netflix together.

Daredevil and Jessica Jones were led to believe would be two sets of ordinary superheroes, the style of the Marvel movies (“good” against “bad” and save the “innocent” and helpless), but it is not . The first was a blow, literally, to the way in which Marvel makes movies and TV. It has violence, it has blood (lots) and is a very “human” superhero who simply feel a need to protect your city (and takes a lot of punches so).

And the second was the biggest surprise all, even the year (in my personal opinion). It is a series where the hero he wants to overcome their traumas of the past, not save the world, and has the “best” and most unhealthy villain I’ve ever seen in a series or movie superheroes. How are you need more series.

Ash vs Evil Dead

Ash vs Evil Dead is one of those series that are not very seriously and therefore succeed. The plot is continuation of the story of Ash in the movie Evil Dead , that premiered in the 1980s, and although I thought it would be another failed attempt to revive a franchise that should have stayed dead, turned be wonderful. . A bloody and stupid wonder

The series has everything you would expect something of its kind: In liters of fake blood, monsters, horrible things, a man who has his hand instead of a chainsaw, heads They exploit and ghosts that are so false that what they give is laughter. He is a master merge.

Bloodline

Bloodline is a series of pure suspense (or Thriller ), the kind that leave us open-mouthed at the end of each episode, either because they make a startling revelation or because they leave us in suspense wanting to see the next episode to find out what has happened. Few series this year have kept the drama and mystery for a season like this.

The series is based on the history of the Rayburn family, after several years, he received back to one of its members, brother and black sheep of the family. With it comes a flood of problems and crimes, Reeling and fight the whole family. Of course, all this is related to a “dark past” that have good Rayburn and many mysteries than we will know during his first season.

Marvel’s Agent Carter

Returning to the ranks of Marvel, Agent Carter can not be as violent or explicit and intense as the series of Netflix, but it has something that makes it unique and special: a hero very strong, you do not need anyone’s help and using the classic espionage to achieve its mission and as the founder of one of the security agencies and intelligence best known in the world.

O good at least in the world of fiction and comics from Marvel. Peggy Carter is the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the series takes place after the events of the first film of Captain America, so if you’re a fan of Marvel films, is another unforgettable story featuring one of the strongest female characters that exist today in the television.

The Man in the High Castle

Sometimes when we learn that someone will make a film adaptation or a television literary, we put us on the defensive. The first idea that comes to us is that “never be as good as the book,” and in most cases it is. But that does not mean they have great height and adaptations of the novel, even when we talk about a letter written by Philip K. Dick work. And The Man in the High Castle is one of these

The series is based on a premise. What if the Axis had won World War II, not the Allies? History tells us the answer ahead a few years in the future after the war, and developing a US version divided in half, one part under the control of Japan and the other under the control of Nazi Germany. It is one of the surprises of the year because adaptation is superb, and shows the details of the rawest form of this universe created by Philip K. Dick

Honorable mention:. The Leftovers

is true, The Leftovers is not a series for everyone. Its premise is so strange and confusing that we can clearly see how the ratings viewing were declining episode after episode, and the second season was seen by approximately half of people who watched the first season. But this year the number was so great that the only thing I think about is what they have lost the left.

Although not a “new series” as such, the second season shined so much that deserves be featured as part of the best I saw this TV during 2015. This season was more of the same, but better, more intense, more mysteries, more scenes that leave you with your mouth open, most of those moments and episodes you left with a feeling of heaviness and do not understand why, poor Kevin Garvey suffered much and only got a few answers. Each episode was masterful, and fortunately HBO has confirmed that the series created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta return for a third and final season, we will answer all our questions (or not).

Bonus Minority Report

The number of Minority Report enters our list for being another great surprise, but not for good but for evil. It is one of those series that should have stayed dead, that we think would be bad but not as bad. So much so that even though Fox had originally ordered 13 episodes for its first season, fell to 10 and said something like “look, no, better leave it here.” So do not waste your time with this, and instead begin to see (even if you did not) any of the other series that surprised us in this 2015.
