US television channel says Iran tested a ballistic missile – Sputnik World

According to the channel, testing Ghadr-110 missile with a range of between 1,800 and 2,000 kilometers, was held on November 21 near the city Chabahar in southeastern Iran.

The chain says the missile has the capacity to carry nuclear warheads.

The channel source said that this test violates two resolutions of the Security Council of the UN.

Meanwhile, authorities in the United States and Iran have not confirmed this information.

In Tehran last October tested a ballistic missile, a fact that the US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, he described as a “violation of the sanctions of the Security Council the international organization”.

The resolution 2231 of the Security Council of the UN which prohibits Iran related to ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads activities yet It has not entered into force, although another resolution 1929 envisages that the country can not take part in work related to ballistic missiles.

Iran and the Group 5 + 1 (US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany) announced on July 14 in Vienna an agreement establishing certain limitations on the nuclear program of the Persian country to exclude possible military dimension in exchange for lifting sanctions.
