LOS ANGELES (USA) .- The Wachowskis explored moving their transcendent speech to television with “Sense8″ series, a production of 12 one-hour episodes could redeem creators of “The Matrix” of his latest blockbuster fiascos.
“Sense8″ combines mystical, spiritual and supernatural ideas to shape a “thriller” that questions the current parameters of relationship humans and poses impossible situations that invite you to think of “Lost” but with the promise that all mysteries will be clarified.
“We wanted to tell a story that we’re better together than apart,” said J. Michael Straczynski ( “Babylon 5″), creative head of “Sense8″ along with Andy and Lana Wachowski, in a meeting with reporters in Los Angeles in which he said that the program does not let loose to fool the audience ends.
The series sees the light today Netflix, a company called it one of his “most ambitious original content” with a story tentatively comprises 5 seasons which is only approved the first waiting to see if the Wachowski message connects with the public.
Naveen said that it is “a new paradigm” in terms of structures series.
“We the draft of the second season very detailed and will know where the third, fourth and fifth “confirmed Straczynski.
One detail that will be relevant for viewers to see the first chapter of incomprehensible” Sense8 “written the idea of creating “confusion,” Straczynski said.
The initial minutes of the series show the actress Daryl Hannah (“Blade Runner”) in a distressing state of trance in the middle of an abandoned church accompanied by actor Naveen Andrews (“Lost”), whose intriguing character whispers to the woman, named Angel, before erupt there to hunt them down.
“The opening scene sets the tone for the season” said Andrews, and “establishes the laws of the universe in which they live,” said Hannah.
“Sense8″ however, does not focus on them. The weight of the action happens, from that moment, eight characters scattered around the world who do not know each other, but suddenly they are connected mentally by his strange relationship with Angel.
“They (Hannah and Andrews) are the parents of eight, metaphorically,” said the actress.
Among the characters is a Mexican heartthrob who has not “come out” who embodies the Spanish Miguel Angel Silvestre (“Sin Tetas no paradise”), whose story takes place in Mexico City, one of the nine cities where the series was filmed.
The filming took place over eight months between San Francisco, Chicago, London, Reykjavik, Seoul, Mumbai and Mexico City, a challenge from four continents that given the argument involved the transfer of all equipment to each of those regions.
In “Sense8″ the experiences of a character with another are synchronized, both thousands of kilometers away, something that the viewer sees and intertwined but in terms of filming occurred months apart.
“A fight scene begins with a bang in Nairobi that ends in Korea,” Straczynski said.
For consistency the plot had not only had to record good shots, they had to ensure that respect time zones.
Straczynski said “Sense8″ was possible because he was going to distribute Netflix, where all episodes are published at the same time, which makes managing the pace at which advances the story in a different way to what it would have been the series to be broadcast on a channel conventional television.
“It was exactly like (doing) a movie, what happens is that this is 12 hours” He told Hannah.
Naveen said that it is “a new paradigm” in terms of structures series.
” Lost ‘would have ended differently if it had been done on Netflix certainly because we have no censorship anyone with an open mind and want something challenging, “Naveen, who believes that the series will like you said” “he said.
” Lost “(2004) was one of the most popular supernatural “thrillers” in recent years and was fired in 2010 with a more emotional than explanatory closure, which left many disgruntled fans after six seasons of intrigue.
“Sense8″ bursts with clearer ideas and offers Wachowski enough hours to deal with deep philosophical issues already played no luck in “Jupiter Ascending” (2015) and “Cloud Atlas” (2012), films that grossed at the box office just US a 25% of its high production cost.
