At least 60 killed in bombings in Paris, according to media – Reuters Spain

PARIS (Reuters) – France was rocked on Friday by several almost simultaneous attacks on places of entertainment in Paris with information pointing to at least 60 deaths and hostage-taking in a concert hall of the capital.

The attacks with guns and bombs occur when the country, one of the founders of the Islamic State coalition against US-led , is on alert before a global climate conference which opens later this month.

Western security sources said they suspect that an extremist Islamic group is behind the slaughter.

At least two explosions were heard near the Stade de France, where the football teams of France and Germany played a friendly match, I attended French President Francois Hollande.

The match will be played until the end, but there was tension in the crowd when they spread information on the attacks. Viewers were held in the stadium and spontaneously gathered in the field.

Early reports spoke of at least four different shootings in Paris, one which became a hostage in a popular rock concert hall, a witness said.

The television network TF1 said up to 35 people were killed near the football stadium, including two suicide bombers suspected of carrying bombs in the Saint Denis, north of Paris.

Police helicopters flew over the stadium while Hollande was taken to the Ministry of the Interior address the situation.

Hollande called for an emergency meeting of his cabinet after the attacks and the municipality of Paris asked by Twitter to citizens who remain in their homes. More …
