Madrid, November 6 (EFE) .- The Internet consumption increases dramatically among adolescents aged 16 to 17 years, group that reaches 93.3 %, exceeding the consumption of television in this age group, 82%, the household panel of the National Commission on Competition and Markets (CNMC).
Also in the age group 12 to 15 years, children prefer internet to television, although the percentages of consumption are more similar, 87.1% and 90.8% respectively, but that relationship is reversed at younger ages.
In the age group between 7 and 11 years, television consumption reached 88.6% and 74.7% Internet while small children (3 to 6 years) TV consumption doubles the Internet, 89.4% versus 43.6%.
With regard to weekly consumption, almost 14% of children between 3 and 17 years spend more than 15 hours in front of TV and about 8% do so connected to the Internet.
Only 11% of this age group do not watch TV, while the percentage of those who do not use the Internet between 3 and 17 years increased to 25.7%
35.1% watch television between 1-5 hours per week.; 21.8% between 6 and 10 hours, and 17% between 11 and 15 hours.
As for Internet, 41.9% use the internet a week from 1 to 5 hours ; 15.5% of 6 to 10 hours, and 6.7% of 11 to 15 hours.
