The popular franchise from Electronic Arts and DICE, Battlefield, goes to television by Paramount Television.
according to the Hollywood Reporter, Paramount TV has acquired the rights from Electronic Arts and is teaming up with Anonymous Content to make a television program based on the series of Battlefield.
No chain is linked them to the project, but the agreement extends to cable, premium cable, transmission and streaming. Michael Sugar and Ashley Zalta of Anonymous Content will be executive producers.
“Battlefield has had tremendous growth, a base of committed fans, making it a highly prized IP for adaptation,” Sugar said. “Together with EA and Paramount TV, develop the television series Battlefield with the same commitment to a robust history that has made the game a success for almost 15 years.”
Anonymuoys Content has produced a series of acclaimed movies and television, including winning the Oscar, the Revenant and Spotlight and Mr. Robot.
