Myths and Legends niques in television series – El Nuevo Diario – El Nuevo Diario • Nicaragua

The Nicaraguan television will renew soon with a new proposal. This is the series of terror thriller “The Tinaja” a film project that will bring to the small screen a story based on myths and legends, also includes some historical figures of Nicaragua.

With this initiative intended to promote the history, culture, and national tourism through entertainment. The series will be aimed at people between 15 and 30 years and the first season will have 10 episodes of 30 minutes. For now only have a teaser, where it presents two antagonistic characters, “The Bride of Tola” and “Taconuda” pending the release date and the transmission channel. Erick  Monterosa / END

Now Braulio and Rachel must catch each of them and, at the same time prevent the Specters the jar was stolen and destroyed because they would be free forever. “The Tinaja” reflects the classic struggle of good and evil, but also hope to defeat him through the brave players.



The creative team

Currently, the series is in production stage, according Vernon Rizo Guerrero, creator of the project and renowned filmmaker. Rizo studied a degree in Film and Television at Savannah College of Art & amp; Design in 2011 (USA) and the Masters in screenwriting at the University of Bournemouth in 2013, in England, and is the screenwriter executive producer, and director of the series.

On his return to Nicaragua, founded the production company Cine V and was inspired by the myths and legends of Nicaragua. He joined “La Tinaja” in 2014, but the number of characters, decides to bring the story to the small screen, for two hours is very little time to develop the story of each of the characters.

This production was to lease the abandoned gas station in the municipality of El Crucero and also had the support of Nicaraguan filmmakers, including:

Nicolas Abaunza (DoP), Daniel Bravo and Jose Luis Bravo (direct sound and post production), Joel Molina (edition), Silvio Balladares (Teaser photo shoot) and Perla Briceño (production management and steering assistance).



Seek support

To follow this television project, the production team is seeking sponsorships or partnerships, to thereby meet the costs of transmission of the series. Also develop a plan of recordings, it is now known that the first chapter was filmed in Leon and Managua.

The costumes and makeup

To represent well the stories, the team I was production designer support Erick Bendaña and professional makeup artist Alex Miller. While the characterization of terrors was in charge of Oyanka Cabezas and Pearl Briceno, both with experience in makeup for theater, dance and film.
