The American study Lionsgate plans to release “Ascendant”, the latest installment of the sci-fi saga “Divergent” as a TV movie that, in turn, give rise to a spinoff ( “spin-off”) of the post-apocalyptic universe.
As reported today the digital edition of Variety, negotiations on the matter have already started but the goal is that the tape, which was to be released late next year, will finally see the light as telefilm .

the first two installments of the franchise ( “Divergent”, 2014, and “Insurgent”, 2015) was a success and raised nearly 600 million dollars. However, the third part, “Allegiant” (2016), prodded and stood at 180 million dollars.
“Ascendant”, planned as the fourth and final installment of the series, was scheduled to debut on the undercard in June 2017, when tapes would face as “World War Z 2″ or new version “The Mummy”.
The study had planned to start shooting the film this summer in Atlanta, but the havoc at the box office of “Allegiant” forced to change the strategy, detailed publication.
