Sabado Gigante just – Sipse.com

The program hosted by Don Francisco will end on September 19 this year, after 53 years of uninterrupted transmissions.

MEXICO, DF.- chain Univision television announced, in a statement, the Sabado Gigante will end on 19 September, after 53 years of transmission to more than 40 countries.

No reason why the show will air were reported.

The details will be offered by the same Don Francisco in issuing this Saturday, the Associated Press reported.

According to Univision, its creator Mario Kreutzberger, better known as Don Francisco, will not be dismissed entirely of television, because the chain will continue to work on new projects and conduct special entertainment programs and campaigns as TeletónUSA, held annually in favor of disabled children.

Sabado Gigante is the entertainment program’s longest air in the history of world television. Since 2001, when he was about to turn 40 years of continuous issues, the program of Don Francisco entered the Guinness Book of Records.

The show debuted in 1962 on Channel 13 in Chile , its creator broke records for longevity on television. In 1986 he began recording in Miami for Latin elpúblico United States.

Sabado Gigante has held the number one Saturday night in the Hispanic population in the United States.
