Watching too much television increases the risk of diabetes – 24 Hours

According to the study of the University of Pittsburgh published in the European Association for the study of diabetes, watch TV also can have harmful health effects , for every hour spent watching television increased 3.4% risk of CHD .

This study enrolled 3,234 US adults Overweight at least 25 years of age, in order to delay or prevent the diabetes type 2 high-risk individuals with either a drug or intervention in their lifestyle.

The study divided patients into three groups, which were applied placebo, metformin (a diabetes drug) and a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent the disease.

The three teams watched TV 40 minutes daily about. The study found that those who had prevented the diabetes had improved their lifestyle, spending less time watching TV on an average of 37 minutes less per day.

Meanwhile, those taking placebo and least changed their habits only reduced the consumption of TV in six minutes a day.

After the relationship between sedentary and television was analyzed by checking that the chances of developing diabetes are 3.4% higher for every hour spent watching television.

A plan that seeks to improve the lifestyle and incorporate specific objective decrease sedentary time may result in major changes and health benefits for people.
