Confirmed: Supergirl will have his own television series – Gizmodo in Spanish

It’s official. Channel and CBS television producer in the United States has given the green light to the series of Supergirl, the DC Comics character that has the same superpowers of Superman. The pilot has convinced them, and have given the order to a full season.

This is great news for fans of comic books and superheroes do not stop received each time new productions and stories. In Supergirl, they tell the story of Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin who also comes from Krypton and live a human life, hiding his abilities, but at 24 years decides to start fighting crime.

The cast of the series features stars like Calista Flockhart, as Cat Grant, Mehcad Brooks and James Olsen, and of course, Melissa Benoist as Kara / Supergirl. For now there is no release date but is expected to begin airing during the start of next season series from CBS, this year. That means, during the month of October.
