Canal + 1 just presented the documentary series’ Faces the news’, which traces the history of television journalism in Spain.
The project, presented at the Royal Theatre , attended many of the protagonists of the news and spaces of television news in recent years in Spain as Matías Prats , Álex Martínez Roig, Manuel Campo Vidal, Gloria Lomana, Iñaki Gabilondo and Juan Pedro Valentin.
The series comprises four episodes. The first will be this Friday and is dedicated to the presenter. The following is issued on Nov. 14 (the information), November 21 (news) and November 28 (the future).
In the presentation of the series there was a conversation in which intervened Matías Prats, Álex Martínez Roig, Manuel Campo Vidal, Gloria Lomana, Iñaki Gabilondo and Juan Pedro Valentin.
The president of the Academy of TV , Manuel Campo Vidal, said this series “is especially timely now, in this moment, a time when there is a political battle transformation and social transformation battle will necessarily be substantiated in fact a very interesting battle.” For Campo Vidal is a time in which “television gets centrality, centrality returns to highlight this series,” he said.
Gloria Lomana, Director of News for Antena 3, congratulated Canal + for his work and remarked that “beyond the day on which we are all” series “has managed to claim the work we do with professionalism.” In his view, it’s real “harmony we work among peers despite the competition” and “we must assert that effort, the work we all do.”

Being journalist Iñaki Gabilondo said in his speech that “we need to find quality television.” He reflected on the press coverage of the enormous complexity that drives reporters: “At this moment in circulating billions of communications purporting to be information, it should be fine, need a lot of head to know have this complexity from the television, to avoid simplification and propaganda. ” “There is much confusion. All this forces us to have respect for the nature of our profession.” In his view, television is “responding well” to the challenge.
Meanwhile Matías Prats admitted that “I have never liked the news, that’s the truth, but hey I’ve always had to admit the least enjoyable part of my job, because there is much to compensate. You find such generosity from the people , so that offsets some small sympathy hard time you’ve been able to bear. ” In the same vein he avoided comment on his relationship with Ruth Iscúe after being given a second chance
