The TV of the future leave the box and become a sphere, at least according exhibitors International Fair electronics in Las Vegas.
The new visual experience was exposed in this desert town of Nevada (Western US ) as part of a collaboration of several partners, including the French software company video Ateme and British Pufferfish Displays, which manufactures modules spherical projection.
While you can see a video of 360 degrees on a standard TV or tablet, the spherical module adds a new dimension, said Mike Antonovich, Ateme general manager for the Americas.
This “can enhance the viewing experience a live concert or a sporting event, “Antonovich said.
According to Geoff Kell, of Pufferfish, this team becomes the act of watching television in something interactive and collaborative.
” It will be something extra to the experience watching videos, but also have value as a tool for data visualization, “Kell said.
While the images 360 are already used for some years for services like Google Maps, Ateme and its partners seek carry them live television. AFP
