Apple defer its Internet TV service until 2016 – Chile DNA (Press Release) (Registration)

Apple defer its television service via the Internet ( streaming ) at least until 2016, although he had planned to present September 9 coinciding with the announcement of the new iPhone, reports Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the matter.

Discussions with chains like CBS Corp and Twenty-First Century Fox to acquire programming are moving slowly, and before the shortage of content to be issued, has led Apple to cancel plans to advertise the service in autumn, the sources said. Apparently the Apple brand also lacked the ability of computer network to ensure a good experience when viewing the contents.

The TV programming is a part Key to Apple’s strategy with music, information and entertainment, allows to keep the company and its devices in the center of the digital lives of people.

Another of the obstacles is the price of content. Apple wants to charge for your television service between 30 and 40 dollars a month, roughly half the average cable bill in the United States. However, the chains want to get more money from these new Internet-based services such as Apple’s charges to existing cable operators and satellite television, because he knows that being new to the market should gain market share quickly.
