Watch TV, movies and occupies most of the free time of Brazilians, and open and pay TV leading the ranking of preferred activities in Brazil, reveals the latest report from the national film agency, Ancine.
According to information published by the web TelaViva, Ancine president, Manoel Rangel, he presented the report, which has not been officially released, during the ABTA 2015.

The figures released show that eight out of ten Brazilians watching TV when not working, and almost 70% prefer to watch movies and series at home. These are the first and second choice of entertainment in the country, according to the survey.
Looking at the results in detail, the report also shows the penetration of pay television has its main obstacle in the price, especially when compared to the average wage. “The increase in wages in recent years is the main reason for the growth in pay television,” said the president of Ancine.
Among the pay-TV subscribers, 34% of them chose the premium service due to image quality, while 27% sought movies, 22% and 15% series thematic channels for children.
The survey also shows that 66% of Brazilians have Pay TV at home, although the figures do not coincide with the official reports, which place the penetration rate around 50%.
