It was so the ALORTPA experienced new changes, in an attempt to adjust its operation successfully in the constant struggle for the demands of the rights of workers of the Radio and Television of Paraguay.
Connotados professionals time, meeting in extraordinary general meeting on 13 April 1991, decided to transform the Association of Broadcasters, Operators and related Radio and Television of Paraguay (ALORTPA) in the National Union of Workers Radio and Television (SINTRATEL), naming and structure which still operates today.
As we stated in previous lines, sustaining entity remains a difficult task. The risk meant union militancy at the time of the dictatorship was different risk currently represents fight from the union within the respect for the rights of workers.
The concentration of media in fewer hands, not only means danger to freedom of expression but in turn becomes a force that violates the right of workers to associate freely in trade union organizations in order to improve the condition of his life as his family.
the persecution of unionized workers makes new professionals put aside their legitimate right to dabble in union militancy.
that’s why the main challenge and objective of the current driving SINTRATEL, is to get that young professionals, workers all Radio and Television, overcome the fear that media owners infuse and become the new generation of union leadership of our guild.
the entities need to be constantly renewed because a leadership that is not renewed tends to fall into corruption, evil that characterizes many sectors of our society and postpones the man.
not only SINTRATEL accurate renewed, is the same Republic which calls for new Blood and the dynamism and strength of youth.
on the day of announcers and operator of Radio and Television, and commemorating the 66th anniversary of SINTRATEL, we salute all workers, partners or not, and we urge them to overcome the fear of persecution of the employer to soon have a new generation of union leaders who are agents of change who urgently need the union of workers of the Radio and Television and the same Republic of Paraguay.
