The creation of the Ibero-American Satellite Television Channel, proposed by the General Directorate of Educational Television of Mexico and the Latin American Institute for Educational Communication, was adopted at the Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in December last year. This TV channel aims to promote Iberoamerican cooperation; strengthen links between broadcasters and public and private universities in the region to disseminate new audiovisual content, and promote education, innovation and culture through the Ibero-American Cultural Digital Agenda for social cohesion and sustainable community development. The Ibero-American Satellite Channel TV production and support public and private co-production of high-quality content, to show the culture, identity, language, geography, history and education of our societies.
