A norida Rodriguez a whole generation has it in his memory by the unforgettable roles in television series such as ‘Temptations’, where she played the ‘Demonia Salome’ and more recently in soap operas like ‘Call Me Lolita’ and ‘Love in custody’. It is one of the most recognized for Colombians for his tour on television faces, but some time in the film does have a noble task: bring up a film festival to make public aware of its cinematography and to value natural resources a country so rich in this regard, as is Colombia.
Green Film Festival Barichara, which took place from 16 to 20 September, he had a successful fifth version. Speaking to PUBLIMETRO, norida spoke of his position on what is done today on television and also referred to the evolution of cinema in the country.
You are one of the actresses with more travel on Colombian television and with Toto Vega, another actor with extensive experience in the tv, they are leading Festiver, Film Festival Green Barichara, what gives this festival is organized for you, who know well the tastes of viewers, but now exploring attract audiences with movies?
really know the taste of the viewer as television viewers are also, as actors we want stories that go beyond what up now it has had. I honestly believe that in this country are all stories to tell. Not this or that singer to ensure rating but of ordinary, anonymous people it is what makes this country will not collapse. Stories of people who work, who built the country and has lived and overcome circumstances that deserve to be told.
Do you miss being part of primetime television?
public affection Incredibly sorry wherever you go. No stranger television, consider necessary because it has been my job for over 30 years, but the industry has changed much in the last five years, privileging form over background, popularity of prestige, quantity over quality. They have changed many values that gave identity to our television, including the essential contribution of the actors in building a project. Intermediaries have also caused great damage and strategically managed to dominate the market with their bulky books, leaving the talent and experience of many professionals acting in the background. Personally and in honor of the fair trade I refuse to work with intermediaries.
You are working their way through a cultural initiative of great value, ¿ How has the process of seeking support from the public sector and the private sector? What is missing in the country so that there are more places like this?
Very difficult. We manage tirelessly and because of that a lot of support and partnership we will surely give us prestige, but they are not enough to make the festival in peace. We know that this initiative is important, that everyone recognizes, but when we get the resources always fall short.
This year Colombia had a golden time for cinema internationally with what happened in Cannes, how do you see the new filmmakers? What do you think the rise in quality and production of cinema?
I think people are risking increasingly produce their stories, this new digital era to optimize resources and quality and is being applied more than ever the formula of co-productions involving not only producers but also actors and industry. Each one gives what he has and joining forces can tell all the stories that have not been counted in this country. This film festivals play an important role because we are managing all year to support various projects.
As for training public, the work you do with Festiver is outstanding, what is the contribution of this festival the formation of viewers?
Our contribution is immense because we are teaching people to see and enjoy other content. The film and entertainment untreated vertigo, bullet and sex. There are inspiring and entertaining content that also left a seed in the consciousness of people, that’s what this festival is all about.
What norida Rodriguez projects to come?
Take a rest after Festiver and find a television project that I like and that values my work as an actress. I delude most two proposals that I have earrings, a Mexican film to be shot in NY and one in Colombia. We are parallel developing a couple of projects to produce from the festival with an international channel
