The famous series “ The A-Team “(The Magnificent) will return to the small screen with a new team in a project produced by the daughter of Stephen J. Cannell , the creator of the original format.
As reported by the specialized blog Deadline, 20th Century Fox TV has reached an agreement to modernize the iconic television series that starred at the time George Peppard Dwight Schultz , Mr. T and Dirk Benedict .
Chris Morgan , screenwriter and producer of the “Fast and Furious” saga, will be executive producer The number next to Tawnia McKiernan , daughter of Cannell . The script is being developed by Albert Kim (“Sleepy Hollow”).
“ The Magnificent ” premiered on NBC in 1983 and was in the air for five seasons. In 2010, a film based on the series and starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was released.
According says the publication, “ The Magnificent ” will be formed this time by men and women belonging to the Special Forces.
As before, his characters are accused of a crime he did not committed and become fugitives as they try to prove his innocence.
Stephen J. Cannell died in 2010 at age 69 from complications of melanoma.
