When someone reads or hears the name J. K. Rowling , I immediately imagine a magical world inhabited by wizards, witches and other fantastic beings, because it is the creator of Harry Potter. the Rowling has written other novels that have nothing to do with the wizard of the scar; it is the case of The Casual Vacancy, which was adapted for television by HBO and the BBC.
According to Deadline, the two tv channels will join forces to adapt the series of novels known as Cormoran Strike, that until the time is made up by three deliveries, and a fourth to be published next year.
The novels of Cormoran Strike focus on the life of Strike, a war veteran who becomes a private detective in London, and that, thanks to his military training, helps the police solve crimes complex. This adaptation will have as protagonist the Tom Burke, known for his participation in the british series The Musketeers.
Now, the plans to bring these novels are a bit different to what we are used to, instead of, for example, to do a season focused on one of the novels, there will be a television special for each one, will be directed by different people and will have a different duration.
Michael Keilor directed the first adaptation, The Cuckoo’s Calling, while Ben Richards will write the script of the first two adaptations and Tom Edge will write the script of Career of Evil, that is the third. the Rowling will have a credit as executive producer.
