Owner kill television channel in central Honduras – El Universo

The businessman Joel Aquiles Torres, owner of a television station in the municipality of Taulabé, in the central department of Comayagua, died of multiple gunshot wounds who handed strangers apparently on a motorcycle, said on Sunday the National Police.

Torres, 48, was traveling Saturday the northern highway that connects San Pedro and Tegucigalpa, the two most important cities of Honduras, when it was attacked, said the same source .

“I do not know why they killed him Mr. Torres, but research began yesterday,” said the informant.

The body of Torres was inside his vehicle, which had 29 bullet wounds, according to the brief police report.

Torres owned Channel 67 Taulabé and partner of a cable television company.

According to sources official, violence in Honduras leaves an average of fifteen daily deaths. (I)
