Adele leads the nominations for the Bafta TV – Informador.com.mx

LONDON, ENGLAND (30 / MAR / 2016) -. The special program that the BBC broadcast about the singer Adele and actor Idris Elba for his role as detective in the series Luther lead the nominations for the Bafta television awards, released today by the British Academy of Film and television.

The historic BBC series about the reign of Henry VIII, Wolf Hall, is presented as the top favorite to abate to have four nominations, which follow him Comedy Peter Kay’s Car Share and drama This is England 90 with three nominations each.

With four nominations (best actor, best actress, best supporting actor and best drama series), the series of BBC2 Wolf Hall is based on the homonymous novel by Hilary Mantel on the reign of Henry VIII , seen through the eyes of his adviser Thomas Cromwell, who plays Rylance role.

Wolf Hall will face in the category most prized Bafta TV production science fiction Humans, the story inspired by robbers in the Balkans The Last Panthers, and No Offence, which it focuses on the murder of a group of girls with Down syndrome.

Among the surprise of the list include nominations British film legends Ian McKellen and Tom Courtenay, who could take home the statuette for best supporting for The Dresser and Unforgotten respectively.

The ceremony for the awards will take place on Sunday 8 May at the Royal Festival Hall in the capital of the UK.
