Five young beat a world record by watching television for 92 hours straight, announced the promoters of this marathon held in a shopping center Vienna, Austria.
“In the end, it was really hard for them,” admitted Moritz Arnold, organizer of the event, indicating that the record has been recognized in the Guinness Book.
Selected from 400 candidates, five viewers, between 19 and 24 years were only entitled to 5 minutes pause time lapse time advantage, eg for showering or using the toilet.
To stay awake at the screen, young people had at their disposal an exercise bike, unlimited coffee and energy drinks. The previous known record, achieved in Toronto, Canada, in 2014, was set to 91 hours of uninterrupted television.
