Five comics love to see on television – IGN Spain

Lovers of comics are living a very interesting time in terms of adaptation concerns. Great sagas like The Walking Dead comics have made the leap to the big screen and have become big hits. American chains have decided to make the great leap that had to give so much fear and batteries have to adapt all kinds of comics to the small screen. Preacher, the genius of Ennis finally debuts on May 29 . Tando DC and Marvel are seeing their characters on the small screen and individual series of characters like Punisher are prepared after passing so powerful by Daredevil and even Dredd can return to delight us with his violence if rumors of a television series were confirmed. The last great leap to television in the world of comics again come from the hand of Robert Kirkman is that Outcast , his series about demonic possessions, has published its first episode on networks:

No doubt the interest in the comic book world to the world of television and film. The superhero blockbusters have opened the way to small fictions of characters in pajamas. However, the world of comics has always been a very interesting for Hollywood producers fagocitadores always eager for new successes active. The world of comic book adaptations films and fiction series have always gone far beyond the mesh and powers and movies like Road to Perdition, The Life of Adèle, A History of Violence or Snowpiercer are more or less faithful adaptations of the ninth art.

Seeing so promising future that looks for adaptations of comics to the small screen let’s take a brief look at some of the works that would love to see you moved to television series.

Southern Bastards – Image

The work of Jason Aaron and Jason Latour was one of the big surprises of the Editorial Image last year. Aaron, screenwriter of the last stage of Thor: Goddess of Thunder (to name just one example), is one of the many authors of the glorious Vértigo that have become the new hope of American comics: Image. Aaron has always flirted with television and it seems that the WGN America has given the green light to a pilot for an adaptation of his comic Scalped published in Vertigo.

Southern Båstads, Paletos Cabrones in the Spanish version that brings Planet , it is one of those truly American story that gets us engage in all. It is an American story that revolves around a small southern town, these who boast of having the best barbecue in the state, of those places where football is religion and the police stop you for having an intermittent broken.

The story created by Aaron revolves around the village as a multifaceted protagonist. Our protagonist will change as the story of the people who live in Craw County progresses. Earl Tubb, an old Eastwood reminiscent El Gran Torino, returns to his old home to discover that his old village is more full of shit than I remembered. Southern Bastards becomes a small treatise on the ambitions and the limits to which a bastard unscrupulous willing to go (Breaking Bad but with sticks, football and lots of grilled meat). Undoubtedly AMC might be the perfect home for a fiction of this kind as they have shown with Walter White and Saul Goodman who perfectly know the best way to take the pulse ambitions, shenanigans and conflicts of ordinary people.

Hawkeye – Marvel

Vale, superheroes are saturating the market of film and television series but Hawkeye Matt Fraction and David Aja (a Spanish feared in the Eisner) is unlike any audiovisual fiction superhero. Netflix has managed to give the glory characters so mistreated by the audiovisual as Daredevil or other forgotten by the general public as our beloved Jessica Jones deserve and could do wonders with him. If you end up not dare to make the jump can start by the love they profess fans like Kevin Housand and his small fan film:

the adventures of Clint Barton are much more interesting if we turn away from the meshes, the superpowers and boring Avengers … Hawkeye works perfectly as a hero everyday, someone that during a whole it is not put first staple ridiculous purple suit that is his uniform. It’s much more interesting to see how saves a dog mobsters, like saving your block mobsters and even as assaults mobsters for … well, it is generally fun to watch him deal with all kinds of mobsters and try to have a quiet day .

The work of Fraction and Aja is one of the most interesting jewelry recent years Marvel and a fun approach to the daily life of superheroes. It would be like Jessica Jones but with less alcohol, less sex and a dog .

continue on the next page, with more comics that we should have television series.

And do not miss …
