RTVE, big winner Iris TV Awards with twelve ... - The Free Voice

 MADRID, 25 (EUROPA PRESS)

Spanish Radio Television (TVE) was the big winner of the fifteenth edition of the television Iris Awards given by the Academy of Sciences and Arts Television to achieve twelve awards, ahead of LaSexta with six awards and Antena 3 with two.

The gala, held at the Gran Casino de Aranjuez, was conducted by the presenter Marilo Montero and broadcast live on La 2 of TVE, was attended by over a thousand television professionals, including Maria Teresa Campos, Boris Izaguirre, Michelle Jenner, Rodolfo Sancho, Concha Velasco, Llorenç González, Laura Valenzuela, Terelu Campos, Manel Fuentes, Ana White, Matías Prats, Arturo Valls, Adriana Ozores, Gemma Cuervo, Albert Castillon, Samanta Villar, Jesús González Green or Florentino Fernández, among many others.

RTVE, who started as the favorite of the night for nominations, won major awards in national fiction category, while LaSexta entertainment earned much of their prizes.

fiction series national public broadcaster 'Isabel' and 'Wonder Years' earned him half of their awards. Thus, the time series on the Catholic Monarchs won the awards for Best Fiction Series, Best Direction for Jordi Frades, Rodolfo Sancho Best Actor for his role of King Ferdinand of Aragon and Best Art Direction and Set Design.

'Weekly Report', which this year celebrates 40 years on the air and has also received a Special Iris Award, was recognized with the award for Best Performance. Finally, the '24 hour news channel 'RTVE took the award for Best Thematic Channel and the campaign' Classics of the 1 'with the Best Autopromo.

RECOGNITION

LaSexta ENTERTAINMENT

LaSexta, nominated in seven categories, won the award in six of them, two for 'Saved' and triplet for 'Intermediate'. Mediapro chain saw also recognized the work of its space 'LaSexta News' for Best Informative.

Thus the present satirical chronicle of 'Intermediate' won the award for Best Entertainment Program at Best Entertainment Presenter 'El Gran Wyoming' and Best Screenplay.

TWO GET THREE ANTENNA
