A Thai television today mistook the actress Meryl Streep with former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in announcing the death of the “Iron Lady” British .protest a spectator allowed to channel 5, belonging to the armed forces, realizing the mistake and issue an official apology.

commentators, Thai responsible searched internet a photo of Thatcher, who died the day before, and selected the one you find most convenient without further checks.
That image corresponded to the actress Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher characterized for the film “The Iron Lady” (“The Iron Lady”), whose performance earned her third Oscar of her career.
Taiwan, something similar happened in another TV channel that showed a picture of Queen Elizabeth II of England. At least it was the British actress Helen Mirren in one of his interpretations of the sovereign.
