Technology giant Google
, competitor moves as cable operators to launch the service “Fiber” television and internet offering fixed, with a speed of 1,000 megawatts in the United States.
“Fiber” would be available initially in the North American country, in the cities of Austin and Kansas, and then come to five other cities in the same state.
television system would have 165 channels available through the network and would cost between 100 and 120 dollars a month, while the cost of Internet service Google Fiber would be $ 70 monthly.
The project was announced in 2011 by the American company, and aims to achieve a connectivity platform for homes.
