football TV rights are sold collectively with the entry into force of the new Sports Act 2014, the draft will be drafted in late summer. The new legislation will put an end to the current situation, in which each club negotiates on their own, in favor of greater equality and a more equitable distribution of income. Today, Barcelona and Real Madrid get 136 million TV rights, more than triple what you get, for example, Valencia (42 million), third in the ranking of profits.

The new legislation will allow the entry of foreign capital, since in Spain there are more buyers than Prisa and Mediapro. The current Spanish football television operators paid a total of 800 million euros to clubs, an estimated amount may rise to 1000 with the entry into force of the new legislation. At this point that is especially important foreign capital inflows, as none of the two operators are willing to pay more money and have even tried in recent times negotiate down existing agreements.

Sports Council (CSD) and the Professional Football League (LFP) not resent the possible entry of foreign buyers. Possible candidates include the Arabic channel Al Jazeera, which emits League matches, Italian Serie A or the Champions League, or business groups moguls Rupert Murdoch and Carlos Slim.

The goal of both organizations is that all the new agreements and win-win teams sharing pattern resembles the Spanish football in England or Germany, much more equitable. In the Premier League, for example, Manchester United, reigning champion receives more than 70 million per year of television, while Queens Park Rangers, bottom side of the last edition of the English championship, enter an amount close to 47 million.
