The Apple TV service could allow to skip the ads - Engadget

Apple class=”centro”/>

Apple has long wanted to launch its TV service, and rumors about a possible iTV have long been swirling around us. Although ultimately the truth is that they have become stronger than ever. Apple apparently takes time groping executives broadcasters and cable operators.

last thing is that Apple would have spoken to executives at cable operators (Time Warner, for example) for a premium version of their service, allowing users to view live TV using a set-top box . This premium version allow users to skip commercials , suitably compensating operators.

really

users see fewer ads that are inserted into television broadcasts. It is quite common that users have a personal recorder that allows them to advance the listings using your remote control. What Apple would offer would be precisely to avoid having to skip these ads and also compensation to copyright owners.

live TV obviously would be impossible forward in time to skip commercials. Apple’s patented technology, it seems, include that automatically change to another stream video for advertising.

Definitely an interesting proposal. Would have to see, anyway, if you meet some additional issues. Are you sure that this compensation is enough for owners of rights? And, perhaps more interest to us who live in this part of the world, this service would eventually be available outside the United States?
