Google is in talks with major television media to launch soon a television service in ‘streaming’, according to sources related to the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal. The U.S. company looking to buy the licenses allowing launch version ‘online’ pay TV.
Services series, movies and television programs in ‘streaming’ as Netflix or Hulu are being a success in the United States. The possibility that the users can enjoy their series or programs at any time and place has made it increasingly opt for these services. So large technology companies like Google see a great future in this type of service and they want their piece of the pie .
Like Sony and Intel, Google wants to launch its own pay TV service in ‘streaming’ and therefore seeks to purchase licenses with the major companies in the sector . However, and although few details known so far of this service, would be closer to platforms like Netflix whose content is delivered through broadband and online form.
According to the newspaper, Google and Intel are already negotiating with pay-TV providers with the aim of reaching an agreement before the end of the year . The creator of processors, Intel, has held talks with several media companies to buy licenses for broadband services with a one-year stay.
