The film tries to reproduce what happened between the couple and how Arias allegedly killed Alexander and then dealt with it until the time on 8 May, the jury convicted the young woman, who claims he acted in self-defense .

The prosecution asked for the death penalty this woman of 32 years, considering that he acted with “extreme cruelty” in the murder of Alexander, who was shot in the face, his neck was cut from side to side and was stabbed 27 times.

During the trial

Arias, a native of Salinas (California), said he had been a victim of domestic violence and have acted in self defense. The jury found her guilty, but was unable to reach a consensus on if it should be condemned to die.

Still, the Attorney Maricopa County (Arizona) announced last week that prompted the death penalty again for Arias, while their defense has requested that the trial stage to fix the sentence, which was to begin on 18 July, was postponed until next year.
