NEW YORK – The ceremony Golden Globes on Sunday recorded its highest audience in 10 years, specialized company Nielsen said

According to national figures released Monday, the transmission of NBC, with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as host for the second consecutive year, was tuned by 20.9 million viewers. This is an increase of 1.2 million viewers (or 6 from the previous year.
NBC said the show is currently the most watched awards program on television, over the CMA, Emmy, American Music and People’s Choice awards.

For the fifth time, the Globes ceremony was broadcast live simultaneously in all parts of the country. Some markets in the west passed a reset after the live broadcast, which began at 5 pm Pacific Time.
