could hear phrases like “it seems that we are in the time to teach everything» «the big question: will my daughter causing?”, as seen in this video of ACTUALIDADenunTUIT:

Just days before, in the same newscast, another short story spoke of the “sudden” devotion of the unemployed, the unemployed claiming calmed pray or light candles to the saints. This is the video report, uploaded to youtube by Kewban:

Predictably, the story about how teenagers’ dress should not cause “numerous examples of rejection originated in the network. On Twitter, “decency” and “TVE” were trending topic that afternoon. The tweeters criticized as anachronistic sounding mostly these councils, as seen in the tweets of Andere, Nacho Grim, Alberto and Herráez:

@ SaintAndere: Among the decorum in dress and pray recommendations for the unemployed, one does not know which country you live, or what century … @ igotzi

Actually, this is the anecdotal part of a much bigger problem. Shortly after winning the November 2011 election with an absolute majority, the Popular Party has approved a law which amended the manner of electing the board of directors of the

public broadcasting which until then required the concurrence of two thirds of the Deputies to the absolute majority enough, earning criticism from all parties, who accused the PP of turning on a television public broadcaster government.

Soon after, the new leadership of tve took up their positions, and among them, Julio Somoano as news director. Somoano from Telemadrid, chain well known for its conservatism, is a figure closely linked to the Popular Party. It replaced Fran Llorente, under whose mandate the news on TVE remained leaders in audience and received more than 200 awards.

input on the news of tve had quick impact between house staff. One of the first victims of the purge was the journalist Ana Pastor, thorough professional who among his many merits consideration with having conducted the only interview that the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has granted Western half. Anna Bosch also was dismissed shortly before receiving the prize Madariaga.

In November 2012, Carlos Alonso, director of the flagship program Weekly Report, refused to sign the report on the death of five youths on a macro party. The union CNT rtve well the reasons explained on its website:

decrease the slope of credibility began last year, during the broadcast of a program on the tragedy of Madrid Arena. A fulminant filmmaker was expelled from the program for refusing to sign a report that has entered the top ten of the Universal History of Infamy was supposed audiovisual and analyzing the tragedy, to reach the conclusion that the fault lies with the parents short current not bind their daughters.

This case prompted the intervention Reporting Council, which stated:

By practicing

impositions of sanctions or warnings reassignment, management seems interested in imposing a ‘code of silence’ that would defeat the professional rights regulated in recent years

Alonso

fellow wrote a letter signed 260 chain professionals. In this letter, we read:

address [ignores] the legal precept that TVE should be independent, pluralistic and rigorous in its content. Topics are selected in a biased way, imposing concrete approaches and (…) is vetoed in a clear and direct both those certain people as unwelcome news to the editorial line of the address. (…)

[The expulsion of Alonso] is unjustifiable professionally and another step in a clear strategy that wants to impose silence, fear and lack of journalistic debate in the development of content.

Weekly Report has been criticized for its handling of the case Barcenas, a process of corruption in which they are allegedly involved senior PP.

All this is taking its toll on the news on TVE: plummeting to her audience has meant that this chain leadership lose information. Furthermore, no tve news program this year has been nominated for Academy Awards for Television.

this swell, not surprising that the European Council, in its resolution 1920, of January 24, 2013, criticized the Spanish government interference in tve:

The Assembly notes with concern recent reports of political pressure on public service channels in Hungary, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Spain and Ukraine (…). Reminds the Member States (…) indicators of media in a democracy: “public channels must be protected from political interference in their daily management and editorial work should deny leadership positions to people with clear political affiliations, the public broadcasters should establish codes of conduct for journalistic work and editorial independence from political influence “
