Three people died and five were injured in an explosion on Saturday night in a northern suburb of Damascus, Syrian state television reported.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) reported at least five dead and several critically injured after a “violent explosion” caused by “a car bomb.”
Damascus has been the target of a series of attacks in recent months, one of which, in late April, was addressed to the Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al Halaqi, that survived.
